Keshu School Kit Program

School Kit Distribution

The Keshu School Kit Program is a thoughtful and impactful initiative aimed at removing the fundamental barriers to education faced by underprivileged and economically weaker students. Even today, there are many children in our society who have the desire to attend school but are unable to continue their education due to the lack of basic learning materials. As a result, they are often forced to drop out. Recognizing this challenge, Keshu Foundation has taken a committed step towards providing these children with essential educational resources.

Under this initiative, students are provided with School Kits that include a school bag, notebooks, a pencil pouch (containing pencils, eraser, sharpener, and scale), a drawing book, color crayons, a geometry box, and other necessary learning materials. These resources not only make it easier for students to attend school but also encourage them to participate confidently in their education. A simple School Kit becomes a new beginning for a child—it instills the belief that “I too can learn.”

Keshu Foundation primarily implements this program in slum areas, underserved communities, and vulnerable sections of Pune, where access to basic educational facilities is limited. The foundation not only distributes materials but also works to create awareness among parents about the importance of education and motivates children to attend school regularly. This leads to improved attendance, reduced dropout rates, and better academic performance among students.

The impact of this initiative goes beyond academics. It also contributes to the emotional and social development of children. Receiving new learning materials brings joy, excitement, and a renewed sense of hope among students. It helps them understand the value of education and encourages them to take responsibility for their future.

So far, Keshu Foundation has reached and positively impacted more than 3,280 beneficiaries. Each School Kit distributed is not just a set of materials, but a symbol of opportunity, confidence, and a new beginning in a child’s life.

Keshu Foundation firmly believes that when every child is provided with the right resources and guidance at the right time, they can shape not only their own future but also contribute positively to society. This initiative is not just about support—it is a significant step towards building an empowered, educated, and self-reliant community.

Keshu Project Prerna is a research-based initiative focused on developing mental health, personal growth, and leadership skills among students, youth, and communities. In today’s fast-paced and competitive world, challenges such as stress, anxiety, emotional struggles, and career confusion are increasingly common. Recognizing these real-world issues, Project Prerna has been designed using a structured approach based on surveys, observations, personal interactions, and data analysis—ensuring that every intervention is practical, relevant, and need-based.

Under this initiative, the process begins with baseline surveys to assess the mental health status of students. This is followed by field observations, case studies, and one-to-one interactions to gather deeper insights. Based on this data, awareness sessions on mental health are conducted, helping participants understand stress, anxiety, and depression, along with techniques to maintain emotional well-being. Additionally, personalized counselling is provided in a safe and confidential environment, offering guidance on academic, personal, and career-related challenges.

Project Prerna also includes therapy and emotional healing components, such as guided stress management techniques, behavioral improvement strategies, and practical therapeutic activities that bring meaningful and positive changes in individuals. Alongside this, the program emphasizes personal development through self-awareness, communication skills, goal setting, and personality development. In the leadership development segment, participants are trained in decision-making, problem-solving, teamwork, and public speaking skills.

The key objective of this initiative is to promote mental health awareness through research-based methods, provide effective counselling and therapeutic support, enhance confidence and decision-making abilities among students, and build responsible and capable leaders. The program follows a structured model: Survey → Training → Counselling → Follow-up, with continuous impact measurement and evaluation.

Through Project Prerna, we aim to reduce stress and anxiety levels, increase self-confidence, improve decision-making abilities, provide clarity in academics and careers, and develop emotionally strong individuals. This initiative is beneficial for students, youth, working professionals, and anyone facing mental health-related challenges.
